Beyond developing critical power and digital infrastructure, Vulcan Infrastructure and Power supports skilled employment, local businesses, public services and educational programs that strengthen the economic foundation of each region in which we operate.
Our approach begins with meaningful engagement. We work closely with local governments, utilities, residents and community organizations to understand regional priorities and ensure that new AI and HPC infrastructure projects deliver broad, measurable benefits. These benefits can include high-quality jobs, workforce development, infrastructure improvements, increased local spending and a stronger tax base.
Vulcan Infrastructure and Power has established partnerships with organizations including Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Camp Iroquois and Habitat for Humanity. We have also supported local first responders, including the Dresden Fire Department, by helping fund safety equipment needed to protect the community.
Education is another important part of our community strategy. Through our partnership with Penn Yan Middle School, Vulcan Infrastructure and Power helped establish a grant supporting Engineering and Biomedical Science programs through Project Lead the Way’s STEM curriculum. Our support has funded teacher development and classroom resources designed to prepare students for careers in technology, engineering and other high-growth industries.
We are also proud to support the preservation of local history. Vulcan Infrastructure and Power worked with the Western New York Railway Historical Society to relocate and restore Locomotive No. 8666 at the historic Williamsville Lehigh Valley Depot.
Our operations have historically served as an economic anchor in Upstate New York. Between 2014 and 2020, our direct and indirect capital investment supported more than 180 jobs across several industries and generated more than $13 million in employee earnings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our operations also supported more than 80 businesses throughout the Finger Lakes region.
As Vulcan Infrastructure and Power expands its AI and HPC infrastructure platform, community stewardship will remain central to how we evaluate, develop and operate every project. We intend to build long-term partnerships, communicate transparently and ensure that the growth of digital infrastructure translates into tangible local opportunity.
