Our Story

We are building a next-generation infrastructure platform focused on acquiring, developing and operating powered assets to provide the necessary infrastructure for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data centers, while maintaining our focus on powering the grid and ensuring reliability.

Our roots are in power generation, data center operations and the management of energy-intensive infrastructure. That operating experience gives us a practical understanding of what AI and HPC development requires: reliable power, scalable interconnections, resilient connectivity, disciplined execution and strong coordination with utilities, regulators and local communities.

We pursue opportunities across the full AI infrastructure ecosystem, including powered land, stranded or underutilized generation, existing data centers, industrial properties and power generation assets. We structure our projects around their highest-value use by controlling critical infrastructure and maintaining flexibility across development, leasing, operations and ownership.

Energy

Access to power has become the defining constraints on society’s growing demands. Our strategy begins with identifying locations where generation, interconnection capacity, transmission infrastructure and industrial land can support large-scale computing demand and the power needs of local communities.

Environment

Vulcan Infrastructure and Power believes that today’s increased power needs must be supported by responsible energy development, efficient infrastructure and thoughtful environmental management.

We are currently exploring numerous methods to reduce our carbon footprint, including fuel cell technologies, carbon capture, carbon reuse and other new technologies. Additionally, we have made significant efforts to determine various beneficial use applications for the previous owner’s legacy coal ash deposits, benefitting both local and regional communities.

Our experience includes transforming a former coal-fired power facility in Upstate New York into a natural gas generation facility, materially reducing the site’s historical emissions profile while preserving critical power infrastructure and supporting regional grid reliability.

Economic Growth

Large-scale AI infrastructure must create durable value for the communities where it operates.

We work closely with local governments, utilities and community stakeholders from the earliest stages of development. Our approach emphasizes responsible land use, infrastructure investment, skilled employment, expanded local tax bases and long-term partnerships aligned with regional economic priorities.

Our team brings extensive experience aligning our work with public policy, regulatory matters and community engagement. We believe that transparent communication and thoughtful project development are essential to building infrastructure that serves customers, supports the power grid and delivers lasting benefits to surrounding communities.
